The big news is the pending release of the new CD by Chris Cody Coalition: Conscript (CHC001, Nocturne, France), to be released on April 23, 2007. See CD news for more info on this much awaited new CD!
The CD release concert will be at well-known Paris jazz club Le Sunside on May 23.
In other news, Chris has been busy with concerts in Paris at all the usual jazz clubs including the Duc des Lombards, le Sunside, the Sept Lezards, and the Franc Pinot, and around France with his band Chris Cody Coalition featuring Glenn Ferris. He has also been performing solo concerts, including his annual appearance at the festival of Lautrec in the south west where he is artist in residence, and with his trio, featuring Bruno Rousselet and Laurent Robin. Chris is also a sideman for several other bands, including the Vic Pitts Trio with Wayne Dockery, Freyja, George Beckerich, KGB, Pierre Levy, and the Paddy Sherlock band.
He has been working with American singers Frederic Tuxx, and Michele Troise, the latter in a series of masterclasses and ateliers for singers.
Chris has conducted his own masterclasses and ateliers for pianists at the BSP, Paris.
He will be performing in Sweden at the Glenn Miller Club, Stockholm with Swedish trombonist Karin Hammer, May 14-16.
